What started as a routine high school basketball game at Union-Endicott High School (UEHS) turned into a national moment for junior Eamonn Hubert. Known for his musical talent, Eamonn played an electrifying rendition of the national anthem on his electric guitar before the home game. By chance, a local news station captured the full performance—and the video quickly went viral.
That viral moment led to an extraordinary opportunity. This past week, Eamonn took the stage at the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Washington, DC, performing his anthem to kick off the 2025 American Dynamism Summit, hosted by the multi-billion dollar venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.
The summit brought together some of the most influential figures in business and government. Speakers included United States Vice President JD Vance, General Bryan P. Fenton of U.S. Special Operations Command, and U.S. Representative Ritchie Torres (D-NY). Attendees included representatives from many of the country’s leading tech companies, making it a high-profile stage for his performance.
The journey from a high school gym to a national event wouldn’t have been possible without key supporters. Special thanks go to U-E Athletic Director Teresa McKinney for providing Eamonn with the platform to showcase his talent and to TJ Eckert from FOX 40 News WICZ-TV, whose video coverage helped propel the moment into the national spotlight.
From a local court to a major summit in Washington, Eamonn’s viral anthem proves that talent and opportunity can take you to incredible places.
