Updates for August:

(NEW) Board of Education Meetings – There will be a Board of Education meeting on Monday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m., and on Thursday, August 29 at 8:00 a.m. (resolutions only) at the District Office.

(NEW) Free meals continue in 2024-25 – We are pleased to announce, once again, Union-Endicott will be implementing a meal certification option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. What does this mean for your children? All Union-Endicott students enrolled at UEHS, JFS, LWW, GFJ, CFJ, AGM and TJW may receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2024-25 school year. No further action is required of you. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application. Additionally, parents have the option to fill out an income form which may assist with other state and federal programs to assist the district and households. The income forms go live on August 1st at https://www.rockoncafe.org/FreeReducedInformation_UE.aspx If you have any further questions, please contact food services at 607-757-2107.

Tiger Park Pavers – We will be doing a final installation of pavers in 2024 during the month of October. If you are interested in a paver, please send the paperwork to the district office by the end of August. Otherwise, the next set of pavers won’t be installed until spring of 2025. UPK Registration – Please call 757-2114 to register your child for one of our sites: Endicott Preschool, Greater Opportunities for Broome (at LWW or Rt. 26) and HCA (at LWW).

School Calendar – The 2024-2025 U-E School Calendar can be found on the website here: https://www.uek12.org/documents/district/calendars/478316 Next year, we have 6 snow days built into the calendar.

UEHS Crosswalk – The NYS DOT will be upgrading the crosswalk in front of the high school to resemble the flashing lights in Vestal by the public library. We do not have a specific date for when this work will happen, but we wanted families to be aware of the change.

(NEW) Summer Jump Start/Prep Academy/Orientation – These programs are for students entering grades K, 6, 9 and Tiger Ventures. If you need more information, please contact the principal at your child's school.

The summer Jump Start for incoming kindergartners will be on Tuesday, August 27-Thursday, August 29.

The Prep Academy for incoming sixth graders will be on Tuesday, August 27-Thursday, August 29.

The Tiger Ventures Prep Academy for new Tiger Ventures students will be on Wednesday, August 28.

The high school freshmen orientation for incoming 9th graders will be on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00 p.m., starting in the high school auditorium.

(NEW) End of Summer Socials – You are welcome to bring your child to the end-of-summer social, held at the school buildings, for ALL students.

UEHS – Tuesday, August 27 (school dance for students) at 7:30 p.m.

JFS – Wednesday, August 28 at 5-6:30 p.m.

Tiger Ventures – Wednesday, August 28 at 12-1 p.m.

AGM – Wednesday, August 28 at 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

CFJ – Wednesday, August 28 at 4-5 p.m.

TJW – Wednesday, August 28 at 12-1 p.m.

GFJ – Thursday, August 29 at 4-5 p.m.

School Supplies – The district will be purchasing ALL necessary school supplies for students in grades K-12 for the upcoming school year. The only thing students need to bring is a backpack. If you need a backpack, they will be available at the District Office during the month of August. Please call 607-757-2811 if you have questions.

First Day of School – A reminder, the first day of school for all U-E and BOCES students will be on Thursday, September 5.

(NEW) Open House Dates

UEHS – Monday, September 23 at 6–7:30 p.m.

JFS–Wednesday, September 25 at 6-7:30 p.m.

Tiger Ventures – Thursday, September 26 at 6-7 p.m.

AGM – Tuesday, September 24 at 6 – 7 p.m.

CFJ – Wednesday, September 18 at 6-7 p.m.

TJW – Thursday, September 19 at 6-7 p.m.

GFJ Grades TK-2 – Monday, September 30 at 6-7 p.m.

GFJ Grades 3-5 – Tuesday, October 1 at 6-7 p.m.

(NEW) PSATs/SATs – We will be offering the PSAT to 10th & 11th grade students who register for the exam, and the SAT to 12th grade students who register for the exam. Both the PSAT & the SAT will be offered in a digital format. The SAT will be given on Wednesday, October 16th and the PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 23rd. There will be no cost to students and their families. If you are interested in having your student, take either the PSAT or SAT, please sign them up via one of the following links no later than Friday, August 30.
