The UEHS Student Government has been active over the past few months, organizing events to 
engage students and staff.
In March, they teamed up with the foreign language department to celebrate Fat Tuesday and Carnavale, handing out festive beads to students in language classes. The gesture was a hit.
On March 6, in honor of National Oreo Cookie Day, they distributed over 400 packs of Oreos to students and staff. The cookies disappeared fast!
This year, the group also launched a new initiative: Student of the Month. Staff members nominate students based on specific criteria, and student government members review the submissions without knowing the nominees' names—ensuring a fair selection process. Winners receive a certificate and a $20 gift card.
January Student of the Month: Melodie Khounesombat
Nominated by Dr. DiStefano for her dependability and strong work ethic.
February Student of the Month: Grace Judge
Nominated by Mrs. Scalcione for her enthusiasm, reliability, citizenship, and teamwork.
With these initiatives, UEHS Student Government continues to foster school spirit and recognize student achievement.
