computer coding

Six UEHS students recently put their coding skills to the test at the annual Lockheed Martin Code Quest, a competitive programming event where teams of two to three students collaborate to solve complex problems and complete the "quest" by using Java, Python, C#, and/or C++ programs. The problem set consists of 20 to 30 challenging problems created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers.

Leading up to the competition, students dedicated extra time outside of class to practice and sharpen their skills. Their hard work paid off, with The Majestic Chimpanzees securing fourth place and Tiger Bytes finishing sixth in their respective divisions. A total of 18 teams from various districts participated in the event.

While the teams didn’t take home the top prize, they gained valuable experience and demonstrated impressive problem-solving abilities. A huge thank you to Lockheed Martin for providing this opportunity and supporting students in STEM.

Congratulations to our students for taking on this academic challenge!
