CFJ third graders had an exciting trip to Binghamton University's Anderson Center, where they 
attended the Binghamton Youth Symphony Orchestra’s concert, Introduction to the Orchestra.
During the performance, students heard the many instruments that make up a symphony orchestra. They enjoyed thrilling pieces like How to Train Your Dragon and Highlights from Jurassic Park. A special treat was a dance performance set to Hoe-Down from Aaron Copland’s Rodeo.
As the concert progressed, different instrument families were showcased, giving students a deeper understanding of how each section contributes to the orchestra’s sound. The students were captivated by the experience and thoroughly enjoyed the performance!
