Family and community connections are one of the four pillars of our district’s mission, and during this season of giving, these connections are more meaningful than ever.
Recently, the district was honored to host the Food Bank of the Southern Tier’s annual Backpack Repack. On December 10, school district leaders from across the area, including our own U-E Superintendent Dr. Nicole Wolfe, joined Broome-Tioga BOCES staff, local political leaders, and community organizations at the U-E District Office to pack bags of food. These bags will provide much-needed support to students and families in our community.
As part of this event, guests were also invited to tour the U-E Family Support Center, gaining insight into its vital role in our district. They learned about the center’s origins and explored its food pantry and the Tiger Athletic Closet, both of which provide essential resources for our students and families.
A heartfelt thank you to all the leaders and volunteers who lent their time and energy to support this effort. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students and their families!
