GFJ geography lesson

Third graders in Colleen Salati’s class had a sugary adventure while learning U.S. geography! Using GFJ geography lessona sugar map shaped like the United States, students got creative by turning candy into landforms.

Chocolate chips became the towering Rocky Mountains, Twizzlers stretched out as the Mississippi River, and colorful Skittles dotted the map as the Great Lakes. After crafting their sweet maps, students found New York and explored the landforms that make our state unique.

It was a fun and delicious way to bring geography to life—learning has never been sweeter!
