cookie vote

GFJ students in Courtney Hine’s first-grade class and Molly Grady’s second-grade class got a votingsweet introduction to the election process! The young voters first registered to vote in an exciting taste test showdown: Chips Ahoy vs. Oreos. Students made campaign signs and gave adorable speeches, passionately explaining why their favorite cookie deserved to win. After sampling each, they headed to the "polls" and cast their votes, proudly wearing “I Voted” stickers. When the votes were tallied, Oreos came out on top as the best cookie! This fun-filled lesson taught students about voting, teamwork, and the power of a delicious decision.
