Students got a special welcome when they walked into CFJ for school on Friday! Students got to experience Rock Your School, an initiative that encourages teachers and schools to create an educational experience by doing something different for students and celebrating the little things that make the school day and school community so special.
The school-wide celebration, with a “rockin’ and glowin” theme, included music, our own Tiger mascot, the Rumble Pony, our U-E cheerleaders, high-fives, hugs, and more!
Throughout the day, students rotated to different centers with different activities such as math, science, reading, and exercise, all with a rock n’ roll theme. The goal is to get teachers and their students to step outside the box with engagement and curriculum and to help them have fun while learning. Planning these fun days in the building and classrooms provides students with positive experiences about the school community they are a part of each day.
