Congratulations to U-E Board of Education President Dick Testa on receiving the New York State Senate Commendation Award. This award is the highest honor the state gives to its residents. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to their communities through volunteerism and service, with a focus on improving the lives of residents in the Southern Tier. In addition to Mr. Testa, three other educators received the award: Dave Hawley, former BCSD board member, Horace Mann Elementary Principal Peter Stewart, and Sean Eversly Bradwell, Ithaca City School District BOE and professor at Ithaca College.
Dick has devoted decades to the Endicott community, including 36 years on the Endicott Youth Baseball League Board and is entering his 26th year on the Union-Endicott Board of Education.
