The Tiger Kindergartners (TK) at GFJ have had a busy start to the school year, diving into learning with enthusiasm. Under the guidance of teacher Christina Bassano, the focus has been on safety and understanding the importance of following rules.
The students began by discussing what it means to feel safe and how to create a safe environment. From there, they worked collaboratively with their teacher to establish classroom rules, including how to rotate during station time and how to take turns.
They had the perfect opportunity to put these rules into practice when CeCe the goat visited as part of the Ag in the Classroom program. The children learned all about what CeCe eats, where she lives, and practiced their new skills by patiently taking turns to pet her.
The TK program provides GFJ's youngest Tigers with meaningful classroom experiences and social interactions, preparing them for the next steps in their educational journey.
