U-E unveiled its new, indoor golf simulator during a brief grand opening ceremony. Varsity Golf Coach Matt Morley talked about its features and capabilities as well as the advantages of having a simulator in upstate NY during the long winter months. As the only golf team in the area to have an indoor simulator, it will allow student-athlete golfers the time to practice difficult shots, work on swings, and dial in distances.
And who better to ‘open’ up the simulator than NY state high school golf champion and UEHS senior Dante Bertoni, who hit the first official tee shot. Several staff and students also put their golf game to the test. The simulator will be used for golf practice, P.E. classes, and as a community resource. Thank you to all who donated funds and offered professional advice on the technology behind the simulator.
