In March, CFJ second graders participated in a book bracket. Students listened to two books every day and voted on their favorite. After each story, students also focused on character traits, story elements, and vocabulary. For the final, students presented tickets and gathered for the final reading by guest readers Principal JonMichael Shea and Assistant Principal Jessica Phillips to celebrate the two finalist books. Not only was it a fun way to practice reading but for the second year in a row, author Charlie Anderson was the champion!
