CFJ second graders had some fun with literacy as they transformed their classrooms into medical offices and became ‘doctors.’
With scrubs, medical gloves, and masks students walked into different medical departments where they practiced a variety of literacy skills.
Students bandaged contractions in ‘triage’, looked at "X-rays" in search of text features in ‘radiology’, and played Toothy with compound words in ‘oral surgery’.
Thank you to CFJ teachers and staff, Lisa Ricci, Hannah Linebaugh, Kathy Dodd, and Alicia Struble for making this day of unique learning possible. Both teachers and students had a blast!
