Nine third-grade students at CFJ participated in a winter enrichment class led by Hannah Linebaugh and Jen Pompeii. Art and Lit was a creative and engaging experience that combined art and literacy activities. Students read several different stories and then completed art projects that were connected to the texts. Throughout the six weeks, students learned to make collages, sew, create characters from scrap paper and toilet paper rolls, use their imagination to create art from a simple line, and make puppets.
To showcase their creativity, students invited families to an art show where they showcased their pieces.
