Putting learned skills to work is a component of Tiger Ventures. From research to hands-on experiences, students in Tiger Ventures learn in and out of the classroom.
Recently, students in Ryan Page's geography elective class have been working on developing a Spiedie Historical Marker project.
The class is working with the William G. Pomeroy Foundation in Syracuse to conduct research and create a historical marker to be placed in Otsiningo Park this spring recognizing the spiedie as a culturally significant dish to the Greater Binghamton area.
Students have been conducting research, gathering news articles, and collecting recipes. The information will be assembled and submitted to the foundation. Stay tuned!
