TJW kindergarten students worked together to provide 100 bagged lunches for the Sara Jane Johnson soup kitchen in Johnson City.
TJW teacher Mary Blessing wanted to give students an opportunity to give back to the community they live in.
Staff made and bagged sandwiches and students placed sandwiches, apple chips,
and handmade cards in each paper bag in an assembly line set up.
The bags were delivered to the kitchen on Tuesday, for its Thanksgiving Feast.
The project is a special experience for students as they learn about the importance of giving. It also encourages community engagement, kindness, and gratitude.
