Winter is coming. Please read the information regarding snow days and early dismissals based on inclement weather.
SNOW DAYS: Based on this year’s calendar, we have 6 snow days. When there’s a snow day, a phone call, email and text message will be sent out as soon as possible, but typically around 5:30 a.m. You can also watch for school information on the local news channels and on our website.
REMOTE INSTRUCTION: We will not consider remote instruction until all 6 snow days have been used.
ONE OR TWO-HOUR DELAY: The bus will arrive one/two hours later than usual, and school will start one/two hours later than usual. There is no zero period at the high school on a delayed schedule.
EARLY DISMISSAL: If snow is arriving early in the day, we will follow an early dismissal schedule. This is the same as the parent-conference schedule, and it gets children home at the soonest time possible.
Early dismissal times:
- AGM - 10:45 a.m.
- CFJ - 11:15 a.m.
- GFJ - 11:40 a.m.
- TJW - 11:40 a.m.
- LWW – 11:55 a.m.
- JFS – 10:15 a.m.
- UEHS – 11:30 a.m.
TWO-HOUR RELEASE: If snow is arriving later in the day, we will follow a 2-hour release schedule. This gets children home approximately two hours before their normal time.
Two-hour release dismissal times:
- AGM – 12:25 p.m.
- CFJ – 12:55 p.m.
- GFJ – 1:25 p.m.
- TJW – 1:20 p.m.
- LWW – 1:55 p.m.
- JFS – 12:10 p.m.
- UEHS – 1:10 p.m.
As always, we work in collaboration with the local Department of Transportation to make the best decisions possible for our students and staff.
Please contact your child's school building with any questions.
