The district introduced two of its newest therapy dogs at UEHS and the district office on September 20. Wrigley and Sulley, along with their handler Koren Rubino, coordinator of wellness, greeted UEHS students and staff at the main entrance during arrival and then stopped over to the district office.
Wrigley and Sulley are mini sheep doodles, about 35 lbs. each, and are hypoallergenic. Approved by the board of education during its September meeting, Ms. Rubino and her dogs will split time between UEHS and the district office for students and staff to interact with if they choose to.
The pair join Emily Hungarter with Chester and Margo Kibbler with Koia at JFS; Jennifer Savelli with Bella, Jennifer Nappi with Nola, and Britini Merrill with Luna at TJW; Kristen Wilcox with Millie at GFJ, and Tim Doyle with Lucky at AGM.
