Congratulations to Eric Bill, Kim McCabe, Aileen Zielewicz, and Meridith Jackson on graduating from the New York State Master Teachers program. These four U-E educators were selected for the program in 2019.

They began the four-year commitment in the fall of 2019. Master Teachers receive an annual stipend, serve as peer mentors, participate in professional development opportunities, and nurture and promote the next generation of STEM teachers.

The Master Teacher Program is a network of the top K-12 STEM educators in the state. To be selected into the program candidates had to complete an application, take a content-specific test, and submit a resume and letters of recommendation. Once selected to move on in the process, the candidates were invited to Binghamton University. There they made a presentation to their peers on a topic of interest to them, wrote a reflective essay, and interviewed with educators in higher education and retired STEM teachers.
