In a refreshing shift from the traditional school day, UEHS students stepped out of the classroom and into a day dedicated to health, wellness, and fun. The school's inaugural Wellness Day saw over 650 students participating in a wide range of activities designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
From yoga sessions and therapy dogs to high-energy dance parties and pickleball games, students had the chance to explore activities tailored to a variety of interests. Others opted for a more laid-back experience, enjoying quiet reading, drawing, board games, or simply soaking up the sunshine outdoors. A pool party, fitness, weight training sessions, and more. There was something for everyone.
Several community organizations, including the Endicott Police Department Bomb Squad, were on hand to engage with students and showcase their role in our community.
The goal of the event was to allow students to try new things, connect, and, most importantly, have fun. It was really about highlighting all the elements of wellness — mental, physical, and social health.
Wellness Day proved to be a vibrant and engaging way to wrap up the school day — and the week — before heading into spring break.
