With just a few days left of elementary school, the fifth graders are gearing up to become Tigers in the Middle next year. To help all fifth graders from the district’s four elementary schools get to know each other, the district organized the First Annual Fifth-Grade Field Day. This idea originated from conversations with seniors about creating a collaborative and fun environment for the students.
The event took place at Ty Cobb Stadium, where fifth graders enjoyed an afternoon filled with games, music, and dancing. UEHS seniors took the lead, running the show and joining in on all the fun. Activities included relay races, face painting, and dancing, ensuring there was something enjoyable for everyone.
A big thank you goes out to the UEHS students who volunteered to help with the event and to all the staff who made it possible. The district looks forward to offering this annual event again next year!
