UEHS art students entered their artwork in the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) competition this year. In two rounds of judging, regional and state, these students received awards in some deep competition.
Congratulations to these regional winners! Emma Butler-watercolor; Abigail Jacobson-photography; Annabelle Ivan-computer-generated art and Lily Gasior-mixed media.
In addition, Rayna Faucher-pastels/charcoal/chalk and Celia Durham-acrylic received second place and Da'Zalia Jones-Williams received an honorable mention in the pencil category.
All four first-place winners went on to the state level where both, Emma and Annabell received third place.
The entire state was represented at the competition and the judges were impressed with the quality of this year's submissions.
