In Matt Ferraro’s Participation in Government class, students have been learning about Citizenship and Civic Duties as part of the New York State Department of Education curriculum. To help students get a better understanding of this subject, UEHS assistant principal Kristen Rodriguez’s husband, Luis Rodriguez, visited the class to talk about the process of becoming a U.S. citizen.
Originally a native of Venezuela, Luis played professional baseball for the LA Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, and Boston Red Sox. Luis lives in Endicott and continues to be involved in professional baseball. Thank you for taking the time to share your personal journey with our students.
