Chalk the Walk

Messages of suicide prevention were left in the form of heartfelt, creative chalk messages around the UEHS main entrance thanks to UEHS students, health teacher Lisa Chavez, and school community coordinator Christina Kratky.

“Chalk the Walk . . . Have the Talk” is part of National Suicide Prevention Month that strives to strengthen mental health services and prevent suicide. Students were encouraged to use artistic expression to leave messages of hope and support. The curriculum in health classes has focused on reducing the stigma of mental health, how to find help, and engaging in deeper conversations. Thank you, Ms. Kratky, Ms. Chavez, and our UEHS students for your creativity and kindness!
