Special Request Grant Program

Special Request Grants are available to Union-Endicott professional staff members to fund unique opportunities for learning which are not covered by the regular school district budget. Requests must align with the U-E school district mission statement and commencement goals and require the signature of the building principal.

Funding can be used to purchase equipment and materials, provide transportation, support visiting artists/ authors/ scientists/ performers as well as other learning experiences. Stipends may not be paid to U-E employees. A budget sheet must be included with the applications.

Special Request Grant proposals may be submitted at any time during the school year. The proposals will be reviewed by the UEEF Board of Trustees and then submitted to the Board of Education for final approval. Please allow sufficient time for this process to be completed. A Final Report is required upon completion of the project.

Proposals should be sent to the District Office attention UEEF. Proposals will not be accepted by e-mail. Projects must be completed by June 15 of the current school year. The maximum award amount for Special Request Grants is $500.00. Special Request Grants are not eligible for renewal or repeated funding.

For further information or answers to questions please contact Andrea Decker. Please be sure to also notify Pamela Portland when you submit a proposal.
