Eighth-grade students in Bryan Tran’s French classes recently went to The Shop in downtown Binghamton for an evening filled with crepes, language, and friendship. They collaborated with Professor Elizabeth Clarke’s French classes at Binghamton University this semester on several creative projects. Together, they crafted “recipes” for happiness using expressions of quantity, created video advertisements highlighting the importance of studying French, and illustrated comic strips and fairy tales written by the BU students.
The evening provided the perfect opportunity for our JFS students to connect with their new friends at Binghamton University. “Language has the unique ability to create connections, foster understanding, and open up new perspectives,” said Mr. Tran. “This collaboration challenges our students to grow, building their confidence and broadening their horizons.” #TigerPride
