This Halloween, JFS Middle School students had the unique opportunity to learn about El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)! Luis Sinchi from Los Tapatios restaurant, along with other presenters from Guatemala, Peru, and Mexico, shared the rich traditions and meaning behind this beautiful holiday.
Students enjoyed lively performances of songs from the movie Coco as everyone danced and celebrated the vibrant culture. Sinchi also highlighted the benefits of being bilingual, inspiring students with the opportunities that come with mastering more than one language.
It was a day of learning, music, and celebration that brought the school community together!
