CFJ literacy teachers hosted literacy night for K-2 students and their families. It was a night 
out around the campfire, snacking on hot dogs, reading by flashlight, and snacking on hotdogs and s’mores trail mix.
The evening began with a read-aloud led by Jennifer Pompei as she modeled how to read with a child. Students and parents read a variety of books by flashlight and parents were given questions to use for comprehension and conversations about the books they shared. The grand finale was singing campfire songs with our music teacher Halie Carden.
